Alessandro Simonetto is a musician and sound engineer. As an autodidact, he graduated at the Steffani Conservatory of Music in Castelfranco Veneto in only 3 years (1998-2001), and in electronic music at the Pollini Conservatory of Padua (2004). He also studied harpsichord, choral direction and composition. He strongly advocates the use of the MIDI protocol as an ideal channel for the automatic interpretation of keyboard instruments, and in 2004 he founded Kunst der Fuge (http://kunstderfuge.com/ The last of Simonetto's projects is called Classicaland (2007) (http://classicaland.com In his free time Alessandro loves to conduct amateur choirs: at the end of 2006 he founded the mixed choir Symposium Vocale, an ensemble of 12 singers, and also conducts the Coro Bassano, a folk/popular male choir and the Schola Cantorum S.ta Caecilia, a liturgical (mixed) choir.
